My name is Taras Palczynski, and I graduated from the University of Michigan in December 2022.

I have a strong passion for software engineering, specifically in the areas of user experience, audio, visual, electrical engineering, and game design.

Projects

  1. Senior Honors Thesis

    Completed undergraduate research in 3 months, resulting in graduation from University of Michigan with honors.

    Title: Meshing Parametric Surfaces to Follow Lines of Curvature

  2. Game Development

    Published self-developed racing game Cubix Car in 2014 on Apple's iOS App Store and achieved 30,000 downloads total.

    Work on this game inspired the research in my Senior Honors Thesis.

  3. Reactive Lighting System

    Designed custom audio analysis software to send signals over the network to custom circuit board (picture below).

    Achieves natural, low latency, music-reactive lighting with no user intervention.

  4. Created Two Clubs at University of Michigan

    Founded two new student organizations at the University of Michigan, one for music and one for embedded systems.

  5. Xen MIDI Retuner

    Novel plugin for musicians to begin easily experimenting with the complex intervals of microtonal and xenharmonic music.
